FDIM kortlægger danskernes internetforbrug

FDIM har de sidste 11 år opgjort trafikken for de sites, der er medlemmer af FDIM. Den nye rapport dækker også sites udenfor FDIM-universet på baggrund af et helt nyt panel, som FDIM har initieret. Dermed er der tale om den hidtil mest omfattende undersøgelse af, hvad danskerne laver når de er på nettet. Undersøgelsen er baseret på alle danskere over 15 år og deres forbrug i januar 2008.

"FDIM ønsker at kortlægge hele internetuniverset for på den måde at vise, hvordan markedet ser ud totalt. Derfor har vi fået opbygget nye panelmålinger som et ekstra led i vores i forvejen omfattende trafikmåling. Det er interessant for alle at se, hvor stor Google i virkeligheden er, og ikke mindst hvilke andre sites, danskerne bruger. Som brancheforening kan vi glæde os over at hele 54 procent af det samlede netforbrug foregår på vores medlemmers medier. I det hele taget kan man se, at selv om nettet er globalt er danskerne meget lokale i deres valg af sites" siger Christian Peytz, formand for FDIM. 

Kvinder bruger mest nettid
Der bliver brugt meget tid på nettet i Danmark 100 millioner timer gik der foran computerskærmen i januar. Men der er tydeligt forskel på, tidsforbruget Kvinder bruger mest tid på nettet - hele to timer mere om måneden end mændene gør.

Internettes primetime er i arbejdstiden og er meget længere end både radios og tv´s brugen af nettet er størst fra mellem kl. 9 og 10 om formiddagen og niveauet holder sig rimeligt stabilt frem til kl. 16, hvorefter tidsforbruget faldet lidt. Dog er antallet af brugere på nettet markant stort helt frem til kl. ca. 21. 

Google er størst Youtube og Wikipedia er også med
Undersøgelsen fra FDIM giver mange svar på hvad danskerne bruger nettet til. Ikke overraskende er Google det suverænt største site med omkring 3 millioner brugere over 15 år i januar måned.
Men ser man på de efterfølgende sites er hovedparten af dem, de sites, der i forvejen kendes fra FDIM toplisten. Krak, dr.dk og tv2.dk er ca. halvt stå store som Google og indtager de tre næste pladser. Herefter kommer Youtube.com med lidt over en million brugere og så skal man fem pladser længere ned af listen for at finde et site, hvis trafiktal ikke tidligere har været kendt, nemlig microsoft.com med 969.000 brugere. Wikipedia kommer et par pladser efter med 865.000 brugere.
Facebook er en af tidens mest omtalte fænomener på nettet. Men faktisk er Facebook ikke så stor som man måske skulle tro. De ligger helt nede på en 22. plads med 560.000 brugere. 

Netbank, shopping og dating
Men det er ikke kun medieforbrug man kan se i rapporten. Man kan også se hvor mange der bruger netbank og shopper i e-handelsbutikkerne. Man kan også læse at 18 procent af alle danskere over 15 år brugte netdating i januar, men at under en procent af netbrugen foregår på erotiske sites. Det er med andre ord ikke erotik, der driver nettet. I hvert fald ikke mere.
"Vores undersøgelse giver mange aha-oplevelser og er samtidig med til at fjerne nogle af myterne om, hvad nettet bruges til," siger Christian Peytz.

Sådan har FDIM og Gemius gjort
Det er analyseinstituttet Gemius, der har gjort tallene op for FDIM. Resultaterne er baseret på flere datasæt. 

Hele rapporten er baseret på data fra januar 2008. Rapporten er baseret på to datakilder. De ca. 200 sites der er medlemmer af FDIM, bliver målt med gemiusAudience. Det er en cookiebaseret totaltælling kombineret med popup- og telefonundersøgelser. 

Undersøgelsen er baseret på en tælling af hver eneste sidevisning, måling af cookies på tværs af sites, en popup undersøgelse med 150.000 besvarelser om demografi mv. og endelig løbende telefoninterviews for at sikre en korrekt vejning og opregning. Denne metode er enestående præcis, da den modsat traditionelle cookiemålinger tager hensyn til tekniske forhold som folk, der sletter deres cookies, "to-personer-om-en-computer", "en-person-to-computere" mv. samtidig er stikprøveusikkerheden minimal og analysemulighederne store. Undersøgelsesmetoden giver således en dokumentation af FDIMmedlemmernes sites, som er i topklasse på verdensplan og fuldt på højde med de øvrige mediegrupper. 

Ovenstående metode kræver, at sitet har installeret en tællekode på alle sider. Det har sites, der ikke er medlemmer af FDIM, af naturlige årsager ikke. De bliver derfor målt ved hjælp af et softwarepanel med 7.000 medlemmer, hvis samlede surfing måles ved hjælp af et princip, der groft sagt svarer til tv-meter målingerne.Der er et par væsentlige forskelle mellem den måde, de to metoder virker på: FDIM-medlemmers sites er således ikke defineret som én URL, men efter begrebet look 'n' feel, hvor det er brugerens opfattelse af én sammenhængende udgivelse, som er væsentligt - ikke hvad der står i browserens adresselinje. Det samme er desværre ikke muligt i software-panelet, hvorfor det er baseret på sitets URL. 

I denne undersøgelse ses alene på danskernes internetbrug. På fdim.dk er det også muligt at se et estimat for udenlandsk brug af FDIM-medlemmernes sider. FDIM-medlemmerne kan i gemiusAudience måles fra 7 år og opefter, mens Softwarepanelet kun kan måles fra 15 år og opefter. Alle tal i denne rapport er derfor baseret på 15 år+ for sammenligningens skyld.

FDIM har tagit ett steg till i sin utveckling och numera stoltserar med antalet surfare i sitt internet index. I Sverige visar KIA Index bara antalet unika webbläsare.

Hermelin alters tactics in Finland

The sale of its share in the jointly owned Finnish fieldwork company to Norstat, does not mean a withdrawal from Finland, according to Hermelins owner Dacke Group. The move is rather a consequence of the group strategy to place all market research activity in Swedish Hermelin and from there work with subcontractors in other countries.
